A thank you to everyone who came along to my fundraiser evening in Pantibar and the George on Wednesday! Special thanks to Panti and Veda and all who helped out! My campaign is starting to take off.It was great to meet and speak with so many people who share my belief that equality for LGBT people should be a top of the agenda. I’m resolute in my belief that equality is a cornerstone of progressive societies, we should tell our government that equality costs nothing and in times of economic hardship, there is still need for advances in social change.

Why are you running for the city council? Local government in Ireland has no influence over social policy such as LGBT rights. Nor should it. Marriage is a national issue. Europe is (probably) banned from interferring by the principal of subisarity and the idea of local government bringing in gay marriage is unconsitutional. You should probably be running in one of the two Dublin bi-elections. In any case good luck.
